Revered Web Solutions builds and maintains websites for churches, ministries, and nonprofit organizations. Many church websites include sermons, worship music, photos of church events, livestreams, and ministry materials.

This policy explains the responsibilities of clients regarding the content they provide for use on their website.

Throughout this policy, “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refers to Revered Web Solutions.
“Client” refers to the church, ministry, nonprofit organization, or authorized representative using our services.

1. Client Responsibility for Website Content

Clients are responsible for all materials submitted for use on their website.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• written articles or devotionals
• ministry graphics or promotional materials
• downloadable files or PDFs

By providing content to be placed on a website, the Client confirms they have the legal right to use and publish that material.

2. Copyrighted Music and Worship Content

Church services often include music protected by copyright law.

If a website publishes or streams worship music, sermon clips containing music, or recorded services, the church may be responsible for obtaining proper licenses through organizations such as:

• Christian Copyright Licensing International

Revered Web Solutions does not obtain music licenses on behalf of clients and is not responsible for ensuring that licensing requirements are met.

Clients are responsible for verifying that all music used on their website or livestreams is properly licensed.

Many church websites include photos or videos of:

• worship services
• ministry events

Clients should ensure that they have appropriate permission to publish images or videos of individuals, especially minors.

Churches may wish to maintain photo consent policies or media release forms for members and event participants.

Revered Web Solutions is not responsible for obtaining or managing photo consent agreements.

4. Sermon Archives and Media Libraries

Church websites often host:

• sermon audio recordings
• video sermons
• livestream archives
• teaching resources

Clients are responsible for ensuring that these materials do not include copyrighted content that cannot legally be redistributed online.

If sermons contain copyrighted music or video content, the church must confirm they have permission to publish those recordings.

5. User-Submitted Content

Some church websites may allow visitors to submit content such as:

• prayer requests
• testimonials
• comments
• ministry sign-ups
• event submissions

Clients are responsible for reviewing and moderating user-submitted content.
